The exciting new features of the new "Family Finance Toolkit" include: opens a clients database that keeps track of financial information and enables it to be output to successive drafts (and final copy) of Form E; prints off and keeps a record of relevant court forms (A to I) and Practice Direction documents as they are filed; allows data to be entered on screen 'as is', with intuitive links to other parts of the file and to Form E; when required, the touch of a button assembles the data in court-ready format; permits detailed notes to be kept about the case, including the other side's financial position; and, includes the new 'Form E'. This major upgrade makes "Toolkit" even easier to use than its predecessor and includes the new Form E introduced with effect from 5 December 2005 by the Family Proceedings (Amendment) (No 5) Rules 2005. "Toolkit's" custom designed interface means you can enter all the relevant information unrestricted by the size of the box on Form E. Running totals and other calculations (for example ages) are produced on screen as you work.
As standard, "Toolkit" creates a summary of the case on one sheet of A4, to be used as an aide memoire of as a presentational document at court. When you are finished, or when you want to review your work, the Form E is assembled dynamically from the information previously entered. Other new features for 2006 include: slimmed-down Pension Form; direct links to Duckworth: Matrimonial Property and Finance Online; improved Layout and Navigation; chronology; statement of issues; calculators (fully printable); and, precedents.
