Dr Pujitha Ganapathi C. holds a PhD in Civil Engineering. She is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Indian Institute of Technology, Tirupati, India. Her research interests include mechanical and microstructural characterization of alkali-activated concrete and cementitious systems; durability; drying shrinkage; life cycle and cost assessments; and fiber-reinforced concrete. Prof Indrajit Ray holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and has served as Program Coordinator and Professor of Construction Management at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. He has also held faculty positions at Purdue University Northwest, Purdue Fort Wayne, and West Virginia University, all USA. Dr Ray has published over 125 articles, advised more than 30 graduate students, and received four teaching awards.Prof Arkamitra Kar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, Telangana, India. His research interests are the characterizations of alternative construction materials and durability studies of concrete prepared with such materials. Prof Kar is an alumnus of West Virginia University (WVU), from where he obtained both his MS (2010) and PhD (2013) in Civil Engineering with a perfect GPA of 4.0.
