Luigi Coppola, formerly Full Professor of Applied Geology at the University of Basilicata, Italy, is author of over 80 scientific publications on national and international journals on environmental issues. He was also Director of the Department of Geological Sciences at University of Basilicata. He was member of the Scientific Technical Committee (CTS) of the Interdepartmental Center for Control and Validation of Environmental Parameters (CIRCOVA). He was also member of the Superior Council of Public Works, Section IV, Ministry, Rome. He carried out didactic and experimental activities at the Facultad de Ciencias Naturales, Universitad National de Salta, Argentina.
