For each country there is a historical overview, profile, key statistical indicators, location map, country map, slide-show of photographs, flag and national anthem; a searchable database with a set of statistics for each country, on a range of issues including demography, economy, energy, communications, food, land use and public expenditure. This data can also be accessed via an interactive world map.
The CD also includes the latest Amnesty International Reports on human rights in more than 150 countries and hundreds of "Social Watch Reports" showing how countries measure up in terms of key development targets. System requirements: Windows and Linux - Pentium processor or better. 16MB RAM, CD-ROM drive, sound card and speakers (to hear national anthems), Web browser equivalent to Internet Explorer 4 or Netscape Navigaor 4.5 Java must be enabled. Macintosh: power PC or better, system 7.61 or better, CD-ROM drive, Web browser equivalent to Internet Explorer 5.0 Java must be enabled.
