The power of small beginnings

Use the best human language ever

And that is the power of small beginnings: to make all the difference in the direction of life. It would demean quiet moments and a humble start to reduce them into mere beholding of the majesty of individual successes. These little steps are more than just preludes to greatness; they form the very real essence of greatness. In every beginning, however modest, something greater stirs inside. We may not see the big picture, but with much patience and perseverance, or rather mostly faith, it unfolds in a way we can hardly imagine. It's in those moments of silence that your greatness was already a seed yet to be brought up. A small beginning always feels unimportant in the vast scheme of things; it is very small and hence powerful.

Indeed, a journey of a thousand miles does start but with a single step. By making the first step toward anything, one commits not only to an action but to a possibility, too. For within that minute spark lies every possibility of an unending fire which could finally spread beyond the source. It means embracing such smallness, believing in the powers of small beginnings, and being capable of acting courageous with determinism. The reason such a miraculously extraordinary thing could be born was through such powers of small and meager beginnings. What most of us don't seem to realize, however, is that greatness does not come but at a moment, rather, one moment that has been prepared into a combination of pieces of action and silent moments put together through time.

There are so many stories across the globe regarding how people do fulfill their commitment through from frailest beginnings up to great heights, never anticipated by themselves. But such beginnings are not the signs of weakness but of strength; they are first whispers of something larger than oneself, growing louder with time until they cannot be ignored. For over time, such small beginnings are remembered-not for size-but for effect. Small beginnings are the first rains of the storm that must surely follow.

Of itself one small drop is a small thing,-but gathered and built in force by constant droppers there comes an agency that shakes and hurls and crashes. Every little act well performed secures at its side an unseen cordial assistant in further achievements. Early moments of doubt, uncertainty, and even fear can stand in the way, but as soon as we can learn to trust this process, we begin to see through each action something in the whole. It is a process of growth, unfolding, becoming. What gives small beginnings such power is that they can bring about change in ways we cannot yet see but will eventually understand. There is magic in small beginnings.

This is the process of building brick by brick; and when it should be strong enough to bear a magnificent structure, little actions help us in learning, growing, and building our resilience. The small beginnings also keep us away from getting soaked in water at one go; give time for adjustment, learning from mistakes, and fine tune the approach. Personal development can never underestimate a small starting. It is from such small manners that one gets to know the realization on taking larger challenges that might be in store, possibly. With each small start, a start to constructing premises for something monumental is available.

Every step taken is one sure decision, an assurance done for our dream, however big it may seem. There's a lot of power in a direction that moves in and maintains, though the way forward is not fully clear. The universe will begin small-when whatever beginning it picks up is enough to give meaning that we're ready to embark on this journey. The small beginnings prod us to take that first step, knowing full well that even the tiniest step taken in the right direction can sometimes be the pathway to greatness. Small beginnings usually are misconceived and taken for something unworthy or too petty to be given time.

Actually, these are the building blocks of all those things that come out to be great. See this giant oak tree; it grew from this small seed. Or the great river that once was but a trickle, so too our dreams and goals begin small somehow, almost insignificant. But yet that may balloon into a much more great potential: it would be that life-transformation force leaving its legacy. The greatness of their power lies in taking small, insignificant beginnings and with time expanding into dimensions far beyond its original scope.

What is more correctly said is that the slight beginning becomes small. All of us are bound to stare many times into the enormity of the world or at one's goals and just feel overwhelmed, but that is the beauty of starting small-that is where we begin, and the pace is quite bearable. Rather, we can learn from it, grow from it, and build our confidence from it. We find the leeway to test the limits for our real strength. Small beginnings are never about instant results, but the movement of getting into something bigger. And it is due course, through relentless efforts, that the tiny fruits will start to begin. Indeed, each of our grand journeys began with that inimitable courage it took to take a tiny step forward.

But again, the act of beginning, small as that act may be, has ever served to testify our faith in the times to come. We do not necessarily see the end from the beginning; but surely one step and then another will bring us there. Small steps instill courage in us to step forward with the unknown, knowing such power at each forward movement is, in fact, progress in its own way. More often, it is when the way ahead isn't quite so vividly visible that this kind of commitment for starting-to take action-is ample to get wheels going. Reading through stories of other people who have achieved something big, the tendency is often to overlook the realization that they, too, started out with just a minute chunk of an idea, coupled with guts for action. It is the entrepreneur, artist, and scientist-just with an idea to see this vision through, and then basically nothing but guts-who acts upon the said idea.

Those small beginnings had their problems but also not without determination and vision. That is the power of a small beginning: it builds from nothing, and through that process, in time, something worthwhile is made. It becomes encouragement for all that greatness does not come by starting everything but rather by starting at all. There is quiet strength in small beginnings.

They are never required to draw attention or blow trumpets for their case but rather let things go smooth and power on. The beauty of a small beginning is that they never overwhelm us with the immediacy of success pressure but allow the right time to grow into them and also permit spaces for growth. They remind us that sometimes this line doesn't go up in graphs, and sometimes small steps mean leaps. It is when we learn to love small beginnings that we learn to love the journey with all its twists and turns, now full-well that every step forward is an accomplishment in itself. Small beginnings give us just enough time to perfect our craft and hone our skills.

Maybe we are not perfect in the beginning-probably, we don't even know everything to start with. But through relentless effort and not letting go, bit by bit, we get better. In the process, we acquire experience and insight that is available only when those first initial imperfect steps are taken. Small beginnings are all about not having it perfect to begin with but to grow into and evolve along with. It is in this refining that makes the process worth it, that makes your result meaningful for every great feat. There was unnoticed one step.

There is one quiet moment of beginning; it's often imperceptible. Yet housed in it, though, may be something huge. It's so tempting to think small moments amount to nothing, but they do; they're foundational blocks of every success. And with every small step, we get momentum, we get clarity, and we get a little bit more confidence. What I basically want to drive across is that these small beginnings do give us an opportunity to start off from where we are rather than waiting for the time that seems propitious and never does. Many of us often fail to recognize how some people who were considered successful in life actually did not even start with an elaborate plan, let alone immediate success.

They started with bit by bit and laid foundation with gradual steps. The beginnings weren't easy to go through neither did it appear like the beginnings that would definitely catapult them into prosperity. It is through commitment, persistence, and believing in self that what seemed so minute created a great achievement. Greatness of a small beginning is encrypted in its foundationalization for something greater than that which could be imagined. It is within these small meager beginnings that most are first learning about themselves.

For it is in that moment, when we make our first steps toward what it is we do want, that we will really be compelled to face all our deepest fears, limitations, and doubts. But in that confrontation, we grow. For small beginnings are not only a means into external successes but basically the seed for internal growth. It's in the smallness that we can afford to learn, to make mistakes, to be better and strong, wiser, resilient over time. Another strong thing about a small beginning is they tend to encourage others.

After all, it's always in the end those little first steps which appear daunting, where the resistance shows. And sometimes, those little first steps in one's life become big things with the encouragement of friends. That is how small beginnings foment into ripples, keeping hope alive, motivating others....
