Be careful of people that surround you. If you care about your future and faith, you must mind the company you keep. There are companies you keep that would collapse your faith and destroy your future if you don’t back out. They will flatten your faith and make your future irrelevant. They will ruin your belief in God. They will ruin your confidence if you don’t mind your faith. If you mind your faith, mind the company you keep. Don’t surround yourself with people that cause fear or make you panic when you want to take decision. Leave any association that reduce or demoralize you. They are association of hopelessness. They leave you without hope. They leave you with negative emotion.

Good character comes from the work of the Holy Spirit. You must pay the price and sacrifice before you can reap good things of life. The bible says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23. As you yield to God's Spirit, you begin to embody these virtues, which are essential in cultivating godly character.

Know that the fruit of the spirit starts with love and ends with self-control. Whatever you do without love won’t prosper so is what it is built on satanic foundation. What brings result is self-control. Self-control is important because without it, you may not accomplish your journey in life. If you have money without self-control you will engage in riotous spending. If you lay hands on good things but always angry with everyone around you, it means you don’t have self-control, so you will not go far in life. People will avoid you and you will end up a debtor. If you are a man that doesn’t have self-control when you see a woman you will love to have sex with every woman that comes your way. Self-control is so important in life, if you have all other eight fruit of the spirit and you lack self-control you will end up a failure.

Good character is essential to reflect God's will. It is important to build character around love, humility, patience, and self-control, which are at the core of a Christ-like character. These principles will not only shape your internal nature but also affect how you relate to others and honor God in your daily life. Good character is not developed overnight but through the continuous work of the Holy Spirit, perseverance in trials, and a heart committed to love and humility. By following good principles, you can grow into one who reflect God’s image and carry his light into the world.

Be in the midst of right people. There are many gifted people but because they are positioned around wrong people they take wrong steps that lead to ruin. It is painful if you are gifted but the people around you are not the type mandated to bless you. They will disregard what you have no matter how good. Everybody that is lifted came across miracle of being reposition to the right people. Who hates you does not matter but who likes you. Pray that God should lead you to audience that leads to visibility and grace. They need you as you need them. They will recognize you the moment they see you.

Every situation in life is temporary. So when life is good, make sure you enjoy and receive it fully and when life is not rosy know that better days are on the way. Success is not how high you have climbed, but how you make a positive difference to the world. Leave your comfort zone do not be idle. It is when you step outside of your comfort zone that you begin to change, grow and transform. You have what it takes, when you build braveness and good character.

Smile is not love. Be careful, not every one that laughs with you or smiles with you loves you. Once the rain is over, an umbrella becomes a burden to everyone. So is your life, once you don’t have anything again or you face financial crisis, you will be a burden to them all. Loyalty ends when benefit stops. Not every smile is genuine! Be in the right place where you may not be rejected. No matter how good you are, if you are in a wrong place, you are worthless.

Keep good people they are silver and gold. Brethren, don’t conclude you don’t need association with people because people break your heart. Let it be a thing of the past there are people who will stand with you when the dice is cast. There are people who will cry with you if things go south ward. If you are fortunate to find good people, swallow your pride and keep them. Never open your mouth and say, “I don’t need you” but later say sorry. Swallow your pride and keep them because when you find godly and faithful friends they are like gold. Don’t throw the opportunity away you may not find it again in life time.

The safest place and position for a believer is to hide behind the cross, because the shadow of the Almighty will cover you. By this, Jesus will be your shield and protector. You will dwell in his shelter and rest in his shadow. He is your refuge and fortress and won’t leave you. The world would call you a fool but you would last. They may say you are insane; there is no insanity in your blood. Your obsession to live a celebrity life makes you a loser if you pursue vain things to make a name. You will lose and your character will be questioned. God gives you the power to grow and promote his glory. When you believe you are the one doing it, pride has entered you.

Don’t give up! Be a strong soldier. Fearless soldier don’t accept defeat in the battle field. The hardest battles are given to the strongest soldiers. Find who to imitate with your character. Character can build you and can also destroy you. Build strength of Samson but listen to your parents and godly counselors. Build Wisdom of Solomon but don’t worship idol or have harems of wives. Be patient like Job but don’t curse the day you were born if you meet misfortunes or barriers on your path. Have faith like Abraham, but don’t listen to advise to have sex outside matrimonial home, Ishmael may be waiting for you and your grandchildren may not know peace. Women don’t push your maid to your husband because you are infertile and shameful. Don’t cover up; Ishmael is on the way to cause you more pain in the heart. Have courage like David, but avoid the death of the innocents it may bring everlasting curse upon your family and generation yet unborn. Instead, build the heart of love that breeds peace, looking unto God as your Savior. You need spiritual curriculum.

Endurance and perseverance is important in the race of life "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." Romans 5:3-4. Trials and challenges are inevitable but they serve a greater purpose in shaping our character. You can see that perseverance through hardships builds godly character. When you face difficulties with faith, God uses them to refine you, making you more resilient, mature and hopeful.

Even the darkness is not dark. Pray against spirit of darkness in your life and who you associate with. Your time of darkness is when God wants to be close to you. Even in the things you don’t understand that happened to you draw closer to him; that is your period of darkness. The Holy Spirit is not afraid of your darkness. In the beginning there was darkness that covered the face of the deep and guess what, the spirit of the Lord hovers over it and he is hovering over you right now. Whatever is taking place in your life don’t be discouraged, come close to God and see how he will disgrace Satan in your life. At this point God needs your intimacy to rise and shine. Submit to God.

Negative thought will produce negative words because your thought is from your brain and in it you make pronouncement. Negative thing will produce negative emotion. Negative emotions will produce negative decisions, you act on emotions. Negative decisions will produce negative actions because every action emanates from decision. Negative actions will produce negative habits. Negative habits will produce negative character. And negative character will bring you to a wrong or negative destination.

Don’t compete with others in negative manner. Know one thing, in life no one is ahead and no one is behind. Don’t involve in unnecessary rat race. Everyone is walking their own journey at their own pace and will reach their destination in their own time. The beauty of life lies in the uniqueness of the path you take. We grow, we learn and evolve at different rates and that is how it meant to be. There is no race, no competition just be steady in progress and become who you are meant to be. Trust your journey and don’t compare it to others your time will come and when it comes make use of it.

Every decision has its consequence. The decision you make today have its consequence tomorrow or in future. So, every decision has a consequence connected to it. You are not given the liberty to choose consequences. It is how you lay your bed you meet it and use it. The consequences you receive automatically have bearing to your past decision. Your gain or joy is not necessarily the grace of God but your action. Though God may give you grace but you should take right decision to make your journey smooth. This is the more reason you watch your associate.

So, take the right step that will lead you to your Promised Land. Your choice determines your future. What attitude do you build in your heart? Know this and know it well, to be crooked is a choice; it will not take you far. To be perverse is a choice, it won’t take you far. To walk in righteousness is a choice, holiness will be your food and Satan will not pull you down. You...
