ARISE AND SHINE IN YOUR SEASON OF GLORY

You are for a season even to a generation. There are names and people that open doors to others when they were alive and after death. When you mention I am the son or daughter of so and so person, you enjoy open door. But there is another name bigger than every name, the name is Jesus. Tell Satan you are a child of God in Jesus Christ of Nazareth and you are covered with his blood. Satan will automatically withdraw from you. Most Christians don’t know the power Jesus has. Sometimes we abuse the name by making baseless vow with it.

Some people make caricature of the name mostly children of the bond woman. Those who don’t believe in Christ often make mockery of his blood. They ask how the blood shed over 2,000 years ago still flows. They say the blood dried long ago and of no effect today. This is a spiritual error of the children of bond woman. The claim is wrong because the blood flows when it is applied to situations. This is the reason rituals in the dark world warn their captives not to mention the name of Jesus in there den or else they will be killed. Meanwhile the person will be killed at the end of the day if he failed to pray in the name above every other name, which is Jesus. Calling his name is not enough; you must be prayerful, fast and live a holy life.

The season of Jesus is every day, every hour, every minute, everywhere. Build a name that will make you shine not only for a season but for a generation. In every situation we find ourselves can we stand for Jesus? There are people who did not know Jesus but only answer Christian names. If gun is placed on their head will they not deny him?

Let me ask this question. Are you here among us Moses? You have responsibility to take your family out of captivity; take your nation out of bondage of debt and slavery. The children of Israel worked without pay in Egypt losing their rights and identity to the wind, losing integrity to sorrow and cry. Be, the Moses that God sent to liberate souls and be the career builder of the family. It is people like you that sets rules in the house and referred to as a discipline leader that bring forth discipline children. Even if you are not the first born of the family the Moses in you will say it all. You are quiet but not a fool. Your Moses won’t be arrogant to elders, peers or juniors. Give everyone due respect.

It was the humility and fame of Moses in Israel that makes Korah, Dathan and Abiram rise against him. They dearly paid for it. When they failed to destroy him, they influenced other people to hate him and gang up against him. May God protect you and disappoint your enemy. The ground opened and swallowed them. Who is the person or the gang against you? The earth will open its mouth and swallow them. God will use any method to fight for you. Forget about the enemies round about you, they shall be food of the soil before there time. When Aaron and Miriam tried to insult and challenge Moses leprosy covered them. It was Moses that pleaded for them, before God has second thought and were healed.

In the presence of people your season must shine. The miracle that you never expect shall happen and surprise your enemy. The Red Sea was not anticipated or bargained in the first place. It wasn’t part of the budget or plans to handle along the way. God did not mention it to Moses. That is how it is in business, career or calling. You pray to God to give you good job and he did. He won’t tell you what you will experience in the office. He won’t tell you there will be racial discrimination or that the terrain has lions, serpent and scorpions of persons you will meet in office. Your Moses can be a worker in the church. In the church you will meet church politics you never bargain for. Your Moses can be a contractor who will meet different people quoting for business. Some will come with charm. Some may bath with human blood before coming to submit tender. Some are cult men or women that use charm at will. In the midst of this, your Moses must rise and shine.

At every critical point of confusion and disgrace, God appears in the situation. The Red sea was disgraced. The impossible happened that day. Red sea is 190 miles wide with depth of 9,974 feet with approximate of 174,000 square miles. The Red sea contains some of the world’s hottest and saltiest seawater. This is the danger before Israel. This is the obstacle before Moses. This is the barrier Moses must conquer. Marine power is there to be contested with; before the children of Israel can walk through. The red sea must part into two. Here is Moses before sea fire contest!

If you were Moses what will you do? Really, fear will grip your heart. Your legs will shake. Your hands will shake. Your mouth will shake. You will look around and be confused. The congregation is against you. They shouted, why do you bring us to die in this wilderness? Do you want our flesh to rotten in here? Leave us and let’ go back to our slave masters in Egypt. But God won the day. They were not consumed.

Moses rather than fall in fears into the hands of the congregation he summoned courage and turn to God for answer and God appeared in the situation. What fear is your Moses facing today? Most of the people of today are so afraid of the unknown that they miss a lot in life to fear. Due to fear we are deprived of getting many things in our life. We live our whole life in fear. We fear failure in the journey of life. We fear losing something. We fear the future. We fear to die. We fear to be shamed. We fear of debt. We fear of bareness. The fear of failure does not let us move forward in life and does not allow us to be successful. The fear of losing something does not allow us to get something new. The fear of dying does not allow us to live life to its fullest. It is this fear that forces us to always choose or take wrong option. So throw this fear out of your life and bring the virtue of fearlessness into your life.

Fear of debt and shame can make one cover face in an organization. Such happens when you bring idea to expand a product line of the company and you don’t get it right first time. The chairman will make you a scapegoat if you eventually fail. He may sack you or demote you. There and then some staff will talk against you, by saying, “Too know is worrying him”. But if you pray and call upon the Lord to give you wisdom and power to see you through and eventually won the day, the table changes. There and then you are a table shaker. Surprise everyone like Moses who was a table shaker all his life.

The table must change because the Lord will let your season shine. When table changes you will be like Moses that crossed the Red sea and sang hallelujah at the other end of the sea. Check time and season, sometime hard days help us to know who our family member is, who is our friend; who is our partner and who is a passenger in our life. Discover who is in your ship and in your boat.

God listens to Moses at critical and crucial times. Have you not read how Moses intercedes for the children of Israel in the wilderness when God was angry to wipe them out? Moses appealed for mercy to them. Despite God promised to raise Moses children to replace children of Israel, he refused. If it is people of today they will accept it. This is one reason Israel believed in Moses to Jesus. They believe in Moses that released them from the land of Egypt and take them to the Promised Land though Joshua finished the work.

When and where the children of Israel offend God?

(1) Lacking faith before the crossing of the Red Sea. They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? 12 Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!” Exodus 14:11–12.

(2) Complains over the bitter water at Marah. So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What are we to drink?” Exodus 15:24.

(3) Complaining in the Desert of Sin for food where God rained bread on them. The Israelites said to them, “If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.” Exodus 16:3.

(4) Collecting more manna than they were supposed to. However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them. Exodus 16:20.

(5) Attempting to collect manna on the Sabbath. Nevertheless, some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather it, but they found none. Then the LORD said to Moses, “How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions? Bear in mind that the LORD has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Exodus 16:27–29.

(6) Complaining over the lack of water at Rephidim. So they quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water to drink.” Moses replied, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you put the Lord to the test?” But the people were thirsty for water there, and they grumbled against Moses. They said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?” Exodus 17:2–3.

(7) Engaging in idolatry in the golden calf incident. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt, have become corrupt. 8 They have been quick to turn away from what I...
