The Early Childhood Educator for Certificate III aligns with the CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care from the CHC (Community Services) Training Package. This qualification applies to all early childhood educators who work within the requirements of Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard (NQS). A Certificate III trained early childhood educator's role supports children's wellbeing, learning and development, and the implementation of an approved learning framework, either under direct supervision or autonomously.

Scope:
The Early Childhood Educator for Certificate III provides complete coverage of all fifteen of the required core units of competency of the CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. It also includes three elective units carefully selected to enable an overall effective introduction to the essential skills and knowledge needed to be an effective Certificate III qualified early year's practitioner.

She holds the qualifications of Master of Education (Leicester University, United Kingdom); Diploma of Teaching (Totley-Thornbridge College of Education, United Kingdom); Certificate IV Training and Assessment TAE40110 (Aspire Education, Melbourne); Advanced Diploma of Management (Hunter Institute of TAFE NSW); and Graduate Certificate in E Learning (AdelaideiGlobal.com, Adelaide Institute of TAFE).Lorraine has worked for more than 30 years as an educator and manager/CEO of a wide range of education and care services including long day care, preschools and family day care, and as a teacher within both the United Kingdom and Australian school systems (KYear 6), and as a TAFE and university lecturer.Lorraines passion for developing training materials to assist best practice stems from her recent work as a learner resource developer and adult trainer and assessor of the Certificate III and the Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, and of the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care (Birth 5). This recent training and experience has enabled a deep understanding of the learning pathway from Certificate III to university-trained educator.
