Under the guise of ‘Guidwife’, Angela has been providing monthly recipes for Sporting Gun’s ‘Sportsman’s Kitchen’ for many years. In view of her continuing originality it is hardly surprising that she has built up a keen following in shooting circles. Angela has no formal training. Her inspiration has been an interest in cookery, combined with a good supply of game from the three hungry males who shared her house. Recently widowed (Angela was married to John Humphreys, the well-known sporting writer), Angela has now retired.
Fit for the table; grouse; partridge; pheasant; snipe and woodcock; duck; wild goose; wood pigeon; rabbit; hare; venison; soup and game pies; trout and salmon; good companions.
