Emphasis is placed on the substantive and procedural topics usually encountered on traditional employment, labour or industrial relations law courses while the law is placed in the context of industrial relations theory, collective bargaining and current government policy. Fully revised and updated this new edition contains new sections on sexual orientation discrimination and religious discrimination while the treatment of disability discrimination has been substantially revised to take into account recent legislation. Particular attention is paid to areas which students often find difficult and important cases and judgements are referred to throughout.
