Debabrata Maiti is Professor and Institute Chair in the Department of Chemistry, IIT Bombay, India. He received his PhD from John Hopkins University (USA) in 2008 under the supervision of Prof. Kenneth D. Karlin. After postdoctoral studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Prof. Stephen L. Buchwald (2008 ? 2010), he joined the Department of Chemistry at IIT Bombay in 2011. He has authored about 150 scientific publications and received numerous scientific awards. His research interests are focused on the development of new and sustainable synthetic and catalytic methodologies. He is an Associate Editor for Journal of Organic Chemistry (ACS). Supriya Rej is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry at Christ University, Bangalore, India. He received his PhD from Osaka University (Japan) in 2017 under the supervision of Prof. Kazushi Mashima and then joined Prof. Naoto Chatani?s research group at the same university as a postdoctoral research associate. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Osaka University in 2020. Afterwards, he was awarded an Alexander von Humboldt postdoctoral fellowship and in 2021 joined TU Berlin (Germany) as a postdoctoral researcher with Prof. Martin Oestreich. His current research focuses on bond activation and synthetic methodology development.
