Land, as a fundamental resource in regional development, provides major opportunities for farming, housing, urban planning, and financing. In order to meet the requirements of the new era, every state has developed and implemented a series of policies according to its national specificities and to the international regulations and trends. Geospatial Technologies for Effective Land Governance is a pivotal reference source that provides vital research on the application of the use of GNSS, remote sensing, and GIS. While highlighting topics such as crop management, multispectral images, and irrigation, this publication explores land administration, encompassing both cadastral systems and land registration, as well as the methods of land governance strategies. This book is ideally designed for researchers, agricultural professionals, engineers, environmentalists, land developers, educators, students, and policymakers seeking current research on land and land-based conflicts in urban and rural communities.

Moha El-Ayachi , Professor, School of Geomatic Sciences and Surveying Engineering, holds a Doctorate of Sciences in a Joint Supervision Program of the University of Minnesota, USA and IAV Hassan II, Morocco on Land and Cadastral Information Management. He served as Head of Department of Geodetic Sciences from 2005 to 2011. Enrolled as Licensed Surveyor at the Order of Licensed Surveying Engineers in Morocco (ONIGT) and served as its Vice President during 2018-2020 and as General Secretary during the period 2012-2016. He is currently consultant Educator and Trainer in Land governance enhancement using the new technology at the African Level. He fluently conducts studies in Arabic, English, and French. Loubna El Mansouri is Professor at the School of Geomatic Sciences and Surveying Engineering within the Institute of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine (IAV) Hassan II, Rabat, Morocco, where she has been since 2004. From 2014 to 2017 she served as Head of Department of Geodetic Sciences. She conducted her Ph.D studies during 2009-2013 at “SURAFCE” Laboratory in the College of Science, University of LIEGE (ULG) in Belgium. From 2010 to 2012 she was a visiting Ph.D. student at “MONTEFIORE” Institute of Computer Science at ULG. She received an engineering degree in Geomatic and Geodetic Sciences from IAV Hassan 2 in 2004 and enrolled as licensed Surveyor. Holds a Doctorate of Sciences in Remote Sensing from the ULG in 2013. Her research interests cover both digital image processing and remote sensing. Much of her work has been on improving application of matching learning technique in land use/ land cover data producing for territory management, more over in agriculture and forest domain.
