Carl T. Dahlman earned degrees in sociology, music, and urban affairs before receiving his Ph.D. in geography from the University of Kentucky in 2001. He is the Director of the International Studies Program at Miami University, where his teaching focuses on political geography, migration and mobility, and globalization. His current research includes the role of European integration in the geopolitics of Southeastern Europe, and he has published a book on the subject, Bosnia Remade: Ethnic Cleansing and Its Reversal(Oxford University Press, with Gearóid © Tuathail). He is a co-author of Pearson’s Introduction to Contemporary Geography, with James M. Rubenstein and William H. Renwick. William H. Renwick earned a B.A. from Rhode Island College in 1973 and a Ph.D. in geography from Clark University in 1979. He has taught at the University of California, Los Angeles, and Rutgers University, and is currently Associate Professor of Geography at Miami University. A physical geographer with interests in geomorphology and environmental issues, his research focuses on impacts of land-use change on rivers and lakes, particularly in agricultural landscapes in the Midwest. He is a co-author of Pearson’s Introduction to Contemporary Geography, with James M. Rubenstein and Carl T. Dahlman. When time permits, he studies these environments from the seat of a wooden canoeboat. He is a co-author of Pearson’s Introduction to Contemporary Geography, with James M. Rubenstein and Carl T.
