Through this precisely accurate translation of the book of Revelation you will now be able to understand this wonderful letter that has been sent to us from the very throne of God. This translation is made up of the true facts of the book and will dispel all the misleading and deceitful information that has been promoted for years. Please read these words with a completely open mind willing to consider them and weigh them against former teachings. Words such as anti-christ, Armaggedon, bottomless pit, false prophet, hundred forty-four thousand, mark of the beast, the seven letters, the seven seals, the seven trumpets, the seven bowls (plagues), the two witnesses and the Transformation (Rapture) will be fully explained. Explained accurately and as you have never been taught before. The complete book is being presented, not just a few highlights as has always been the case in the past. Every word has been considered and explained in the context intended. I take no credit for this book. I feel I have been completely led through the production of it by the Holy Spirit. There will be scoffers and deniers, but that is on them. Again, all I ask is for the reader to consider it and pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit yourself. The book of Revelation is intensely important and deserves our full attention, especially in these times. Don't be misled, absolutely no one knows the timings of this plan of God (just read about Armageddon), but be perfectly assured God alone is in control of everything. Nothing is slipping God's attention including the inattention to His word to us. His complete plan was set in motion at Genesis 1:1 and nothing will interrupt His plan. We don't know times and this book does not address any specific times. Let Satan worry about the timing of things. We are to know and promote the message of God sent to us through His Son Jesus Christ. Anyone who attempts to manipulate or take monetary advantage or attempt to obstruct the promotion of the book of Revelation will be subject to the last words of it. That includes myself as well. May God bless the reading of His word.

Chapter Two

(Revelation 2:1 through 3:22)

2:1 Unto the spirit of the assembly of Ephesus write: These things say he that holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands.

2:2 I know your works and your laborious efforts of evangelism, and your patience (endurance), and how you cannot bear them which are evil (wicked), and you have tested them which say they are apostles but are not, and have found them liars.

2:3 And you have borne (carried the burden) and have been patient (loyal through the greatest of sufferings) and for my names sake you have not fainted (become tired or weary).

2:4 Nevertheless I have something to bring down upon you, because you have left your first love.

2:5 Remember therefore from what condition you’ve fallen, and repent, and do the first works, or else I will come unto you quickly, and will remove your lampstand out of his place, except you amend your past.

From he that holds the seven spirits to those who are my desired, who represent a time of sowing and evangelism - Ephesus.

As Christ has absolutely no tolerance for deception in his church, He commends them for, through the efforts of these believers, they have found that some of those professing to be apostles to actually be false teachers full of deceitfulness (liars), as they had arrogantly delegated to themselves the position of apostles.

However, the excitement of the young converts is starting to die out although it will never die out completely. They are busy working for Christ but are guilty of not keeping the faith of which they formerly pledged towards their fellow Christian brothers and sisters in their plight.

2:6 But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitians which I also hate (detest).

Nicolaitans - followers of Nicolas which means conqueror of the people. It is made up of two root words: nico - meaning to conquer and laos - meaning the people. The order of the Nicolaitans had developed into the establishment of a ruling body of which their intent was to replace the pastors of the assemblies. They would then merge Christianity with pagan beliefs and practices. This false doctrine is very prevalent today and completely abhorrent to Christ. Some feel that the order of the Nicolaitans evolved into Catholicism.

2:7 He that has an ear (shown the ability to understand), let him attend to what the Spirit has said unto the assemblies; To them that overcome will I give to eat of the tree of life which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

To them that pay attention and tightly hold to their faith, even unto the death against the power of their foe, and its temptations and persecutions, Christ will assure them they will eat of the tree of life in His everlasting kingdom. (Rev. 22:2)

2:8 And unto the spirit of the assembly in Smyrna, write: These things says the first and the last, which was dead and is alive (restored to life).

2:9 I know your good works, and your tribulation and poverty, and the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews and are not but are an assembly whom Satan governs. (Referenced again and explained in Revelation 3:9)

This assembly is considered by Christ to be the oil of perfume and one which suffers persecutions as it reveals the enemy. Even though these may suffer distress, oppression and poverty they are extremely rich in Christian virtue and eternal possessions. The blasphemy means reproachful judgement against them by those that say they are Israelites for Christ.

Note that this assembly, as well as that of Philadelphia, receives no condemnation as the other assemblies. They are to continue their endurance in their love for Christ and will be rewarded well.

2:10 Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil shall cast (some) of you into prison that you may be tried, and you will have tribulation for ten days: be faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life.

The believers will suffer even imprisonment as they are tried, that is, evils are allowed by God to be inflicted upon them to prove His character and the steadfastness of His faith. They are encouraged to endure their tribulation for ten days, meaning a short time, and in so doing will receive blessedness for eternity. It is extremely interesting that the word tribulation used in this verse means to suffer the distress as of a woman in childbirth. And here these are being greatly used in the growth of the Church.

2:11 He that has the ability to understand, attend to what the Spirit he said unto the assemblies: He that overcomes shall not be hurt of the second death.

Those that hold tightly to their faith will not suffer as the unfaithful will when life on earth is ended. (The second death will be discussed in Chapter Twenty)

2:12 And to the spirit of the assembly at Pergamos write: These things says he which has the sharp sword with two edges.

The assembly in Pergamos, representing those who are thoroughly married to Christ, are warned that even though it is a growing assembly it is allowing itself to be subjected to worldly influence and is in danger of falling into a worldly alliance.

2:13 I know your works, and though you dwell where Satan’s seat is, you hold fast my name, and have not denied my faith even in those days wherein Antipas my beloved martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwells.

The assembly of Pergamos was located in an area where Satan’s wickedness was expressly evident, as if, enthroned there, and his influence was causing much persecution. Antipas was the assembly leader, he was violently murdered for his professed faith in Jesus Christ.

2:14 But I have a few things against you, because you have within you them that will not let go of that which is taught of the deceiving prophet Balaam, who when hired, instructed Balak how to cast a stumbling block (through incitement to sin) before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication (a forsaking of loyalty to the ways of their God, the one true God).

This is a reference to the book of Numbers, chapters twenty two and twenty three. The prophet Balaam was a disgrace to his prophetic office as he was hired by the enemy king Balak to devise ways to trick the Israelites into sinning and thus lose God’s protection (Num. 23).These of Pergamos are in danger of losing their protection afforded to them by Christ because of their lack of solid faithfulness to Him.

2:15 You have also them that hold to the beliefs of the Nicoliatans, which I hate.

2:16 Repent, or else I will come unto you quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

What they are being told is to fight against those who are swayed by the doctrine of false teaching and destroy them by using the all-powerful words of Christ.

2:17 He that has the ability to understand, let him attend to what the Spirit has said unto the assemblies. To them that hold fast to their faith I will give to eat the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knows saving he that receives it.

The hidden manna being that spiritual food which nourishes the soul. A white stone, actually a pebble, worn smooth by handling, was used to cast a verdict of acquittal or used as a favorable vote. It is significant here as it represents how the true believer can receive divine judgment to his favor. Christ will cast a positive vote for his redeemed.

2:18 And unto the spirit of the assembly in Thyatira write: These things says the Son of God, who has eyes as unto a flame of fire, and his feet like fine brass.

2:19 I know your works, and charity, and service, and faith, and your patience, and your deeds, and the last more than the first.

Thyatira held the position as Christ’s assembly of continual sacrifice. They are recognized for bestowing care on the poor and proclaiming the glad tidings of faith in Christ. Also their unwavering loyalty and that their deeds are greater now than at the first.

2:20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, which calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

He states that he has against them how they do not restrain one that is considered a Jezebel3, a reference to the wife of Ahab, a former king of Israel. She was an ardent worshiper of Baal and was instrumental in establishing worship of that false god into Israel.

It is not necessarily a person that is being singled out, but more a reference to the act of false teachings which have been successful in leading some into fornication, that is, partaking in practices outside those acceptable in the marriage to Christ. This statement is however undoubtedly aimed at anyone who would introduce idolatry into Christ’s church.

The account of the true Jezebel is incredible in how much evilness was introduced into Israel. The term Jezebel is most appropriately used here.

2:21 And I gave her space (an amount of time to repent of her fornication)...
