THE FALSE PROPHET, AN EXPOSE
Everyone is called upon to make a choice. Jesus is true and Muhammad is false or Jesus is false and Muhammad is true. Your god is true and Jesus is false or Jesus is true and your god is false. Christianity is not a call to blind faith. It is a call to an intelligent faith. Paul said 'I KNOW whom I have believed.' (2 Timothy 1:12). Jesus also says 'And you shall KNOW the truth (that is, you shall no longer be in doubt) and the truth shall set you free.' (John 8:32). It is therefore never out of place to demand for proofs from anyone who claims to be a prophet. God, who gave proofs of himself, expects that from us. 'Prove all things; hold fast that which is good' (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Therefore, this book beams the searchlight on Jesus and Muhammad to unravel the Truth and expose the false Personality.

ORDINATION BY GOD

In the first place, prophets are prophets because they are ordained so by God. It just has to be so because prophets are emissaries of God. No one can claim to be an emissary of God without his consent. The first prophecy, which was really consent, given by God was about the coming of Jesus Christ in Genesis 3:15. “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her seed, it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel”. The “seed” here refers to Jesus Christ. The seed of the woman points to the virgin birth as the means of bringing the Saviour, Jesus Christ, into the world without a sin nature which is passed down in procreation through the male. The seed shall bruise the head of the serpent, predicts the final defeat of Satan which will take place at the Second Advent of Jesus Christ (Revelations 20). Later on, specific details of this Seed were gradually revealed. Although, this Seed was already a unique one by virtue of his birth, the Seed still remained to a large extent void of form. Particularly, with regard to the Seed, God gave no chance to any false claimant. False prophets may well deceive some people, but never should anyone be deceived by a false Christ. We shall soon see the reasons for this and all the reasons considered together will show, quite crystal clear, that Jesus Christ is in several ways, different from the normal run of prophets and he is different enough, to be entirely DIFFERENT and INCOMPARABLE.

Although, the virgin birth of Jesus as prophesied in Genesis 3:15 was elsewhere confirmed by God “behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a Son and shall call his name Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14), God did not stop there. The Saviour was to come through Abraham and through Isaac, this effectively cuts off the descendants of Ishmael “and God said to Abraham, let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy SEED be called” (Genesis 21:21). Also, in Genesis 22:18, God says and in “thy SEED shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.” In these two verses, God is referring to only a single person, a Seed and not seeds and this Seed is really the same Seed of Genesis 3:15.

Next, God revealed the tribe of this Seed; the Saviour “The sceptre shall not depart from Judah nor a law giver from between his feet, until Shiloh come and unto him shall the gathering of the people be” (Genesis 49:10). God moved on from the tribe to a specific family out of all the families of the tribe of Judah “and there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse and a BRANCH shall grow out of his roots.” (Isaiah 11:1). Jesse had many sons, so God did further pruning “behold, the days come, saith the Lord that I will raise unto David a RIGHTEOUS BRANCH and a KING shall reign and prosper and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.” (Jeremiah 23:5). God did not stop with the house of David, he revealed the place of birth of the Saviour “but thou, Bethlehem, Ephratah though thou be little among the thousands of Judah yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be the Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth have been from of old from everlasting.” (Micah 5:2). The Saviour was to be preceded by a messenger and this was revealed in the book of Isaiah 40:3 “the voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the LORD and make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”

In the book of Isaiah in 35:5-6, the ministry of miracles of the coming Saviour was also prophesied by God “then the eyes of the blind shall be opened and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped, then shall the lame man leap as a hart and the tongue of the dumb sing.” The death by crucifixion of the coming Saviour was also prophesied “...because he hath poured out his soul unto death and he was numbered with the transgressors.” (Isaiah 53:9).

The Saviour was Jesus Christ. How do we know? The Bible says in the book John 19:33 that the soldiers broke the legs of the two thieves crucified with Jesus in order to hasten their death, but when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. This happened in fulfilment of the prophecy about the Saviour in Psalm 34:33 “he keepeth all his bones; not one of them is broken”. His burial in a rich man’s tomb was also prophesied “and he made his grave with the wicked and with the rich in his death because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.” (Isaiah 53:9)

All these prophecies and many more were fulfilled only in the life of Jesus Christ. Against the backdrop of these overwhelming proofs of the ordination of Jesus Christ by God, not a single prophecy was given by God that refers to the coming of MUHAMMAD. The Quran says Muhammad was a messenger sent to the whole of mankind “and we have sent thee (Muhammad) not but as a mercy for all peoples” (Quran 21:107). Yet nothing was foretold by God in the Bible about his coming. This is quite unusual of God because he says in Amos 3:7 “surely the LORD GOD will do nothing but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.” If the coming of a great prophet like Muhammad is part of God’s Plan, he would surely have revealed it. The Islamic scholars believe that he did, but all the prophecies about the coming of Muhammad were expunged from the Bible. The Old Testament contains over 300 references to the Saviour, which was fulfilled in Jesus Christ yet the Muslims believed that Jesus was sent only to the Israelites “he (Jesus) was only our servant on whom we bestowed our favour and we made him an example for the children of Israel.” (Quran 43:59).

It is logical then to assume that prophecies about Muhammad, a prophet sent to the whole of mankind, should run into thousands both in the Old and New Testaments. Surprisingly, not a single prophecy in the Bible could be ascribed to Muhammad. Could all have been expunged? Many of the Islamic scholars pored over the pages of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelations and came up with three prophecies which could be ascribed to Muhammad. Three out of thousands expected. Quite remarkable! Let us even take a look at those three.

The first one is Deuteronomy 18:18 “I will raise them up a prophet from among their BRETHREN, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.” The Islamic scholars say the coming prophet of Deuteronomy 18:18 will be from the BRETHREN of the Israelites and the Arabs are, the BRETHREN of the Israelites. Remember, the Israelites descend from Isaac and the Arabs from Ishmael that, of course, makes them BRETHREN by descent. In other words, the prophet of Deuteronomy 18:18, was never going to be a Jew. Secondly, the verse says that, that prophet was to be like Moses. Muhammad was like Moses in many ways. He married. He died and was buried. He never resurrected. He never claimed to be the Son of God. Jesus Christ did not fit into the picture above. The arguments above show, probably, a deliberate misinterpretation of the scriptures. When we move back to Deuteronomy 17:15, we read “thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the Lord thy God shall choose: one from among thy BRETHREN shalt thou set king over thee, thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother”. If we are to go by the argument of the Islamic scholars, then we must suppose that God was asking the Israelites to go over to the Ishmaelites (Arabs) and elect their king from them. Even against that supposition, is the conclusion of that verse which specifically states that the king of the Israelites shall not be a stranger, that is, the king shall not be a foreigner. The fact however is that Jesus Christ was indeed like Moses in several ways: One, Christ like Moses was delivered from a violent death. Compare Exodus 2:1-10 to Matthew 2:13-14. Two, Jesus Christ like Moses, was willing to become a Redeemer of his people. Compare Exodus 3:10 to Revelations 5:9. Three, Jesus Christ like Moses worked as a mediator between God and the world. Moses works as a mediator between God and Israel. Compare Exodus 13:16 and 20:18 to John 14:6. Four, Jesus Christ like Moses made intercession on behalf of sinful people. Compare Exodus 32:7-14 and Numbers 14:11-20 to Luke 23:34. What meaning then does the word “brethren” in Deuteronomy 18:18 conveys? Moses was a Levite and in Deuteronomy 18:1-2, God had told the Levites that they “shall have no part or inheritance with Israel...among their brethren. The Lord is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them”. This means the Levites have been consecrated solely for priestly duties. God had not yet revealed from which of the tribes, the Messiah was coming from but, the Levites had been, according to Deuteronomy 18:1-2, effectively excluded. Moses understood this and being a Levite, he stood on behalf of the Levites, looked across at the other tribes of Israel and spoke the words of God “Look out for the Prophet among yourselves (BRETHREN)”. These are not his exact words, but this is the message of Deuteronomy 18:18.

The second “prophecy” about the coming of Muhammad used by Islamic scholars is found in John 1:19-21 “And this is the record of John (the Baptist) when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, who art thou? And he confessed. ‘I am not the Christ,’...
