Rezeptionshistorische Untersuchung der Literaturkritik in der deutschen Jugendbewegung
The study uses reception theory as a framework to present the first conclusive analysis of reading practices in the German Youth Movement. By analyzing reviews in magazines of the movement it identifies central criteria of its literary criticism and presents different forms of functionalising literature - from travel preparations and communal readings to politics. Furthermore, it provides fundamental media-historical insight into the different publications of the Wandervogel movement and the Bündische Jugend.

Dr. Malte Lorenzen studierte Deutsche Philologie und Philosophie in Göttingen und Wien. Neben Projekten in der historischen Jugendbildung und in der Ausstellungsorganisation publizierte er Aufsätze zur Rezeptionsgeschichte und zur Kunst der Lebensreformbewegung.
