A. Whitney Sanford, professor emerita of religion at the University of Florida, is the author of Singing Krishna: Sound Becomes Sight in Paramānand's Poetry and Living Sustainably: What Intentional Communities Can Teach Us about Democracy, Simplicity, and Nonviolence. She lives in Gainesville, Florida.
