Truth, Lies, Mistakes, or BS follows the story of Harry Grant, a man whose identity is deeply entwined with a business now only days away from closing. Enter the Stranger—an unexpected mentor whose probing questions challenge everything Harry believes about his relationship with his business and the reasons he started it in the first place. Through a series of deeply personal yet pragmatic conversations that will resonate with entrepreneurs everywhere, Harry is forced to confront uncomfortable truths about his motivations, his failures, and the choices shaping his future.

More than a story about a restaurant owner, Truth, Lies, Mistakes, or BS is a compelling meditation on the lies people tell themselves, the BS they tolerate, the fear of making mistakes, and how these forces quietly block true success and fulfillment. Blending engaging fiction with practical business insights, this parable offers a fresh perspective on entrepreneurship, identity, and personal growth. It will resonate with anyone searching for deeper meaning in their work, hoping to reignite lost passion, or striving to build a business that is not only successful, but deeply aligned.

RJon Robins is the cofounder and CEO of How To Manage Enterprises, a multi-eight-figure company that helps entrepreneurs overcome the management and mindset challenges they face at every stage of growth. He has worked with thousands of small business owners, helping them turn owner-dependent operations into businesses that actually work for their owners. RJon oversees a diverse ecosystem of companies, including industry-leading organizations such as How To Manage A Small Law Firm, How To Manage A Mid-Size Law Firm, Small Law Firm Bookkeeping That Does Not Suck, and the Red Wagon Law Firm, along with several others focused on strategy, finance, and growth. He lives in Miami, Florida, with his wife and son, and spends his free time on his boat, The Office, which also happens to be a profitable charter business. John David Mann is the award-winning coauthor of more than 40 books, including the New York Times best-selling parable The Latte Factor (with David Bach) and the worldwide classic The Go-Giver (with Bob Burg), which has sold over one million copies and received the Living Now Evergreen Medal for its contribution to positive global change. His first novel, Steel Fear, cowritten with former Navy SEAL Brandon Webb, was nominated for a Barry Award, named one of Publishers Weekly’s best books of 2021, and is in development as a television series. A lifelong creator and innovator, John was a BMI Award–winning composer at 15, had original music performed at Greece’s ancient Epidaurus amphitheater at 13, and cofounded his own high school at 17. He also built a multimillion-dollar organization and founded Solstice, a national journal on health and environmental issues. John lives in Florida and New England, where he leads Writing Mastery Mentorship, a coaching program for authors.
