We know Australians are sport-crazy, but what does it mean for economic well-being and social cohesion? Is hosting the Olympics worth it? Will Australian cricket survive the T20 revolution and the dominance of India and the Indian Premier League? And how does Australia cope with four codes of football – Aussie rules, rugby league, rugby union and soccer – when most countries can only manage one or two codes? If these issues on the future of sport grab your attention, then this book is for you. Join the author as he continues his unique journey through the economics and business of sport.
