Exploring the growing challenges in post-pandemic workpaces, this book examines the link between disengagement and turnover in modern workplaces. It distinguishes between active disengagement and highlights the roles of management, leadership, and peers in tackling disengagement and turnover.
Workplaces in the post-pandemic era have witnessed several drawbacks - along with the perks - amongst employees. Exploring these growing challenges, this book examines the link between disengagement and turnover in modern workplaces. The study distinguishes between active disengagement, where employees deliberately withdraw and impact productivity, and emotional disengagement, where employees disconnect emotionally while still physically present.

This volume offers valuable insights based on responses from employees across diverse sectors. It highlights the roles of management, leadership, and peers in tackling disengagement and turnover. Furthermore, it examines whether these issues are rooted in ethics and whether emotionally intelligent employees can help address them. By incorporating phases of organizational and individual crises, the research offers a comprehensive view of these issues. With practical recommendations and real-world insights validated by interviews with senior leaders, this book provides employee-centric solutions to boost engagement, improve retention, and navigate the challenges of a post-pandemic workplace.

The book will be of interest to researchers of human resource management, leadership studies, economics, management, sociology, public relation, applied psychology and for HR professionals as well.
