This book will teach you how to cultivate a healthy relationship with money, one that respects its power without letting it dictate your happiness.
When it comes to money, there are some things we all have in common: the thoughts, worries and attachments we give it. For many people, money is no longer viewed as a source of energy that can help us find the meaning in our lives, but has rather become the meaning itself.
But what if it's possible to live more intentionally and abundantly with our finances?
Your Money and Your Mind invites you to rethink your relationship with money by taking a closer look at who you truly are and what really matters to you. The book takes you on a journey through modern psychology and the true nature of our minds, while leaning into philosophical and spiritual wisdom from around the world and throughout the ages.
Through the lens of his lived experience as a Chartered Financial Planner, helping hundreds of individuals and businesses manage their money, author Adam Cockerham explores just how significant a role our minds can play in the manifestation of our financial lives.
This isn’t just a theoretical journey. This is a deep, reflective, practical book that guides you through real-world examples of everyday financial decisions. It covers spending and saving, retirement planning, financial hardship, investing, debt and much more.
In Your Money and Your Mind, you will learn how to:
Understand the mechanics of how your thoughts shape your reality
Adopt wisdom from global cultures, both ancient and contemporary
Apply this understanding to your financial life by exploring real world examples and healthier approaches
Live more freely, at peace with money
At its core, this book is about looking internally first. When you better understand yourself, your experiences and the nature of your mind, your relationship with life and money can change in a powerful and lasting way.
In each chapter, we’ll return to the core theme: that our well-being and sense of purpose cannot be bought but must be cultivated through an understanding of both rational wisdom, the nature of our minds and modern realities.
