Claude Sobry is Professor Emeritus (ret.) and an economist by training. As the creator and director of the International Research Network In Sport Tourism (IRNIST), he participated in conferences throughout the world, published more than 20 books, more than 150 articles and book chapters.Alexander Hodeck is Professor of International Sports Management at the ISM (Institute for Sound and Music) in Berlin, Germany. He completed his doctorate in the field of sports tourism in Leipzig, Germany, and has spent the last few years researching the motivation of sports tourists and sustainability in sport tourism. He is the managing director of the Saxon Tennis Association. Derek Van Rheenen is a Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, USA, where he serves as Faculty Director of the Cultural Studies of Sport in Education. His research interests include sport tourism, nature sports, ecopedagogy, and the connections between sports, learning and schooling. Van Rheenen is Vice President of IRNIST, and he has lectured and participated in conferences throughout the world and published numerous articles, chapters and books.
