SANDRA KANU KOGOD, Ph.D., is the founder and president of Bridges in Organizations, Inc., a consulting firm in Bethesda, Maryland, that addresses three key organizational issues: 1) managing a multicultural environment, 2) enhancing productive relations in the workplace, and 3) improving customer service. She received her doctorate in sociocultural anthropology from the University of Florida and now applies her knowledge of anthropology to the management of diversity in organizations. In addition to her work as a consultant, she designs training and assessment programs and trains others in how to conduct diversity training. She has written several articles on cultural issues, and in 1989 the Society of Applied Anthropology elected her as a Fellow for outstanding contributions to the field.
