Dr Unmana Sarangi, a Doctor in International Trade/International Economics, is a self-motivated economist with initiative. He belongs to the Indian Economic Service (IES) and is presently working as Director at the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Government of India, New Delhi. He has more than 25 years of research experience working in the National Level Research institution and the National Government as an economist in various capacities. He has published about 40 research papers and two books in national and international peer-reviewed multidisciplinary research journals in the areas of macroeconomic policy, international trade/international economics, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Information Economy and Economics of Peace and Conflict Studies, Global Humanitarian Crisis and the SDGs, Trade, Environment and Sustainability. One of his recent research papers is entitled "Blue Economy, Blue Finance and Ocean Governance for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals" published in Natural Resources Forum (NRF), United Nations Sustainable Development Journal, New York (2023). Dr Sarangi has also been working as editor/editorial advisory board member in various International Economics Research Journals.
