Hong Yinxing is an economist as well as professor and doctoral supervisor. He receives the special government allowance of the State Council. In addition, he is in adjunct of vice director of social science committee of the Ministry of Education, member of expert group of theoretical research and construction of Marxism of central government, vice-chairman of Das Kapital Seminar of China, member of discipline appraisal group of the State Council, and subeditor of Economist. He was dean of International Business College of Nanjing University and vice chancellor of Nanjing University. His research fields center on the economic operational mechanism, economic development and theories and policies of macro-economy. His major works are Equilibrium and Disequilibrium of Economic Operation, Substantial Development Economics, Capital Market: Structural Adjustment and Asset Reorganization, Introductory Theory of Public Economics, Master Market Economy through Institution and Order, Market Order and Regulation, Transition Economics, Innovative Economy: New Phrase of Economic Development, etc.
