This book identifies the theory of economic personality. Economic personality leads an individual to exhibit predictable behaviors without the need to be rational in cases of uncertainty. So, this book argues that the individual is not rational; what is rational, however, is the systematic repetition of behaviors dictated by people's economic personalities.

Taner Güney received his BA in economics from Ataturk University, Turkey, in 2002, completed his master's degree in economics at Dumlupinar University, Turkey, in 2010, and received his PhD in economics from Dumlupinar University in 2013. He started to work in the Department of Economy of Karamanoglu Mehmetbey University, Turkey, in 2014, where his research focussed on the idea that economic crises could be a good laboratory for economic theory. Using economic crises as a laboratory, he published his first book in 2016, explaining the revolutionary impact of crises in economic theory. Afterward, he wrote articles on the relationship between economic crises and changes in economic thought. The author's research also covers topics such as sustainable development, environmental sustainability, and renewable energy.
