First of all, it is necessary to start by evaluating working life as the most important part of our life. How people will organize their social lives, under what conditions they will live and how they plan their future are among the results of work-life balance related to working life. That's why we spend most of our lives at work. This situation, which affects all of our lives, should be handled and evaluated in every aspect. After all, the biggest factor that determines all our living standards is our role in our working life. One of the determinants of achieving a healthy future is to have health and safety working conditions during the time we spend at work. Therefore, Occupational Safety and Health is one of the most influential phenomena not only in working life but also in all aspects of our life. Although Occupational Safety and Health has an important place in history, its importance has gradually increased with the industrial revolution. The invention of the steam engine ignited a process in which the whole world competed with each other to change and develop in an instant. Just like the world trying to transform under the influence of the digital age today. Although we are not a generation witnessing the industrial revolution one-on-one, as a generation witnessing the digital transformation and transition to the digital age, it may be possible to better understand how much of a revolution the invention of the steam engine caused by comparing it with the "e;internet"e; phenomenon. After all, both have completely changed and developed (evolved) the industrial transformation of the world. The steam engine took over the bulk of the workforce and made production processes both faster and more practical. It has not only transformed the industry, but also been the most impressive actor in many social changes. The desire of people to have better living standards has led to great migrations from rural to urban areas and great socio-cultural transformations. People left their agricultural fields and farms and started to work in factories, and therefore working conditions have changed tremendously. The importance of occupational safety and health has also been better understood in this process and has taken its place as an indispensable part of working life. In the light of all this, there is almost no scientific discipline left in today's world that does not accept the importance of occupational safety and health and does not work on it. It is possible to say that many disciplines, from law to psychology, from engineering to basic sciences, from geography to history, from social sciences to health sciences, have become sub-disciplines that directly affect this phenomenon. Occupational safety and health, which needs a multi- disciplinary scientific approach, is based on "e;keeping the health of workers safe and protected"e;. The priority in all business lines in the world is employee health. The most important factor that all societies that care about people focus on is keeping employee health safe. Because occupational safety and health are of great importance not only for employees but also for workplaces, their families, society and the government in terms of social, economic and psychological aspects. Employee health has been the focus of working life in all developed countries that have grasped the importance of the issue. With this study, it is planned to provide benefits both scientifically and socially by emphasizing the importance of occupational safety and health once again. This book, in which 32 scientists from many different disciplines contributed with 25 different studies contributed to literature by revealing how occupational safety and health is affected by digital transformation, its current developments and different aspects. As mentioned above, it is not possible to deal with all aspects of occupational safety and health, which we know to be related to many disciplines, with a single book. However, each chapter has been prepared by scientists who are professional in occupational safety and health in their own discipline and consists of up-to-date research based on scientific foundations. Therefore, this book is of great importance in terms of its scientific contribution.
