Shared Heritage Revisited
How are ideological, political, and moral arguments negotiated and managed in the field of cultural heritage?
Culture is constructed, negotiated, managed, and shared by various ideological, political, and moral reasonings which manifest themselves tangibly and intangibly in public monuments, architecture, memorial sites, theaters, museums, orchestras, and heritage associations. The contributions to this volume explore the intersection of cultural heritage and nationality in societies that are characterized by national, multi-national, and post-national concepts. They question the roles that cultural heritage plays in its various contexts, and the ways in which ideology functions to produce it.
Dalya Yafa Markovich (Dr. phil.), geb. 1969, lehrt Kunst und Kulturwissenschaften am Beit Berl College bei Tel Aviv und der Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. Sie forscht über Ethnizität, Nationalität und Identitätsbildung durch Kunst und Bildung.
Christiane Dätsch (Dr. phil.), ist Professorin für Kulturmanagement am Fachbereich Soziale Arbeit. Medien. Kultur der Hochschule Merseburg. Sie lehrt und forscht an den Schnittstellen von Kulturmanagement, Kultur und Kulturbetrieb.
