Professor Mohssen Esseesy is Chair of the Department and Co-ordinator of the Arabic Program at GWU. Publications include the book Grammaticalization of Arabic Prepositions and Subordinators (Brill 2010) and several articles on Arabic and Semitic historical linguistics. He has taught at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; Georgetown University; and the University of Florida. He received his Ph.D. with Distinction from Georgetown University (Karin Ryding).
