Think Beyond Value serves as a reader-friendly and intuitive guide to strategic thinking for anyone seeking a clear plan forward.
Building winning strategy doesn’t need to be complicated. Think Beyond Value provides a simple, memorable framework to help readers think beyond the value proposition to form sound business and personal strategy. Dr. David Flint’s simple framework is thorough yet practical, and quickly focuses strategic thinking on the issues of most concern to a particular situation. Think Beyond Value uses easy-to-remember terms that resonate with seasoned strategists, while also opening the world of critical thinking to those new to the process. Whether business or personal, the V-REEL framework guides strategic thinking for anyone seeking a clear plan forward.

Dr. David Flint has been engaged in entrepreneurial activities since the early 1980s across multiple industries and has been teaching strategic management to undergraduates, graduate students, and executives for more than 20 years. He is presently on faculty at Mays Business School at Texas A&M University and is involved in board or leadership positions across business endeavors in software applications, real estate, and insurance. He also presently serves on the boards of multiple not-for-profits. In 2013, David co-authored with K.D. Cory and D.D. Van Fleet the article “V-REEL: An improved framework for teaching and implementing the resource-based view” that was published in the Journal of Strategic Management Education. David currently resides in Bryan, TX.
