Autor

Robert Doty is President of AGFS, a private consulting companyin Sacramento, California. He has held various important positionsthroughout his extensive career, including General Counsel to theGovernment Finance Officers Association (GFOA); member of the Boardof Governors of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts andthe Federation's Disclosure Committee; Chair of the Section onEconomic Development, Taxation, and Finance of the InternationalMunicipal Lawyers Association (IMLA); Vice President and member ofthe Board of Directors of the National Association of IndependentPublic Finance Advisors; and officer of committees andsubcommittees of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and ofthe American Bar Association's Section of State and LocalGovernment Law and Section of Business Law. Doty is a recipient ofseveral awards, including the NFMA's Municipal IndustryContribution Award. He has participated in principal drafting rolesfor national and regional municipal disclosure and securities lawguidance publications. Doty is the author of half a dozen books andover eighty articles on finance. His website is agfs.com.
