Terrence E. Deal left active university life as theIrving R. Melbo Clinical Professor of the University of SouthernCalifornia's Rossier School of Education. He is the coauthor oftwenty-three books, including the bestselling CorporateCultures (with A. A. Kennedy, 1982) and Managing the HiddenOrganization (with W. A. Jenkins, 1994).
