Mike Peng is the Jindal Chair of Global Strategy at the Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. A National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award winner, Dr. Peng is a fellow of the Academy of International Business and the Asia Academy of Management. He holds a bachelor's degree from Winona State University, Minnesota, and a Ph.D. from the University of Washington, Seattle. Prior to joining UT Dallas, Dr. Peng served on the faculties at The Ohio State University, Chinese University of Hong Kong and University of Hawaii. In addition, he has held visiting or courtesy appointments in Australia, Brazil, Britain, Canada, China, Denmark, Hong Kong and Vietnam. He has published more than 150 articles in leading journals as well as five books. Used in more than 40 countries, his textbooks, GLOBAL STRATEGY, GLOBAL BUSINESS and GLOBAL, are world-wide market leaders that have been translated into Chinese, Portuguese, and Spanish. With more than 45,000 Google citations, he is widely regarded as one of the most prolific and influential scholars in global strategy. The United Nations and the World Bank have cited his work in major publications. Among the top 0.1% most cited researchers worldwide, he was one of only 113 top scholars in business and economics listed among Highly Cited Researchers (compiled by Clarivate Analytics/Thomson Reuters, based on citation impact) in 2019. He has been on this distinguished list every year since 2014. Dr. Peng has also served on editorial boards for the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Global Strategy Journal, Journal of International Business Studies and Strategic Management Journal.
