This is the third in a series of detailed annual reviews in the field of European Industrial Relations. Each review, covering the European Union and Central and Eastern Europe, provides expert commentaries from a team of leading European specialists in industrial relations and employment developments. Chapters on employers and trade unions, collective bargaining, employment law, commentaries on leading cases and social Europe will be set within contextual contributions on the political and economic influences on industrial relations as well as a detailed chronicle of events over the review year. The authors will discuss and assess recent issues and developments but will also provide an informed, longer term perspective to appeal to a wide readership of academics, employers, trade union officials, and politicians and their advisers. The Review is edited by Professor Brian Towers and Professor Mike Terry, editors of the Industrial Relations Journal.

Brian Towers is Professor of Industrial Relations at Nottingham Business School and Emeritus Professor, Strathclyde Business School. He is editor of the Industrial Relations Journal. Michael Terry is Professor of Industrial Relations at Warwick Business School, and European Editor of the Industrial Relations Journal.
