This book provides a comprehensive understanding of the socio-economic and environmental conditions affecting agriculture development and management. The book describes the current challenges that agriculture sectors face today, and it also explores how advanced geospatial technologies can be used to overcome these challenges and promote sustainable agricultural practices. Geospatial technologies can be advantageous to evaluate the increasing demands of agriculture production and productivity, which help maintain and enhance sustainability and strengthen the capacity for crop adaptation in response to drastic changes in climatic phenomena and others. The volume is of paramount importance as it also addresses the ongoing challenges of climate change, food security, and the need for sustainable agricultural practices.
By highlighting the significance of policy-driven approaches and cutting-edge technologies, the book covers the crucial role that advanced technology, climate change impacts, and economic strategies play in shaping the future of agriculture. The book mainly focuses on the critical role of geospatial technology, including GIS, remote sensing, drone technology, deep and machine learning and artificial intelligence. The book includes various case studies to show how these technologies have been used and how they can be further developed to promote agriculture sustainability. This book serves as an essential resource for researchers, policymakers, and academicians.
