work is directed mainly towards the development and promotion of integrated plant protection measures. These include the use of cultivars resistant to crop diseases, an the environmentally friendly and sustainable application of plant protection products as well as the development of crop protection systems integrating questions and problems of plant protection
Aktuelle Beiträge zum Pflanzenschutz im Ackerbau
Der langjährige Leiter des Instituts für Pflanzenschutz in Ackerbau und Grünland, Direktor und Professor Dr. Gerhard Bartels, ging im Juni 2007 in den Ruhestand. Aus diesem Anlass werden 10 Beiträge mit Arbeiten von Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern seines Institutes aus den letzten Jahren vorgestellt, die einen Einblick in das breit angelegte Arbeits- und Forschungsgebiet des Institutes ermöglichen. Die Arbeitsinhalte zielen im Wesentlichen auf die Weiterentwicklung des integrierten Pflanzenschutzes hin. Dazu gehören die Nutzung von gegen Krankheiten resistenten Sorten, ein gezielter, die Umwelt schonender und nachhaltiger Umgang mit Pflanzenschutzmitteln und die Verwendung von Pflanzenbauverfahren, die Fragen und Probleme des Pflanzenschutzes integrieren.
