Prof. Arafat Abdel Hamed Abdel Latef is a professor of plant physiology at the Department of Botany and Microbiology, Faculty of Science, South Valley University, Egypt. He received his B.Sc. in 1998, M.Sc. in 2003, and Ph.D. in 2005 from South Valley University, Egypt. Prof. Arafat has published over 90 research/review articles in high-quality international and local journals. He was one of the world's top 2% of scientists according to Stanford University in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Prof. Arafat has received several awards, such as the Egypt State Award of Excellence in Agricultural Sciences 2021, South Valley University Award in Excellence 2019, Top Peer Reviewer Award 2019 Powered by Web of Science and Publons, and South Valley University Award in Scientific Publication for the years from 2010 to 2024.
