The use of agrochemicals is imperative, and judicious application in a sustainable manner is mandatory in order to get quality produce without hampering the ecosystem. The residual fate of these molecules in the environment was also discussed in detail. Chapters on biomitigation, sustainable management of pests, post-harvest processing, application of biostimulants, and newer method of pesticide analysis will bring new dimensions in this area. Newer molecules for pest management will also be another key area of interest of the book. Thus, it will be a very interesting and useful read on agrochemicals.

Autor

Dr Supradip Saha, Fellow, Royal Society of Chemistry, is a principal scientist at The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, India. He has research and teaching experience of 21 and 15 years, respectively. He has published more than 150 research papers in peer review journals and 3 granted patents. His research interests include the development of plant-based pesticides. Dr Aditi Kundu is a senior scientist at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, India. She has received her PhD degree from ICAR-IARI. Her research is based on the chemo-profiling of plants, as well as microbes and their pest controlling attributes. She has been involved in teaching of postgraduate agricultural students for the last 15 years.
