Binlei Gong is the Qiushi Chair Professor in School of Public Affairs at Zhejiang University. He serves as the Executive Vice Dean in China Academy for Rural Development (CARD) and President of Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (AAEA) China Section. He is Editor-in-Chief or Co-Editor-in-Chief of four peer review journals, the Journal of Chinese Political Science, the Journal of Chinese Governance, the Chinese Political Science Review, and the Fudan Journal of the Humanities and Social Sciences. He is former president of the Association of Chinese Political Studies. Jun Xu is Ph.D. Candidate in School of Public Affairs at Zhejiang University. Her research interests include Agricultural Economics and Energy Economics and her papers have been published in journals including Energy Economics and Applied Energy. Channing Arndt is the Senior Director for Transformation Strategies, where he oversees four units within IFPRI/CGIAR: Natural Resources and Resilience, Innovation Policy and Scaling, Foresight and Policy Modeling, and Development Strategies and Governance. He has worked closely with central decision-making organs at the national level in Africa and Asia. His recent books include Growth and Poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa; Measuring Poverty and Wellbeing in Developing Countries; and The Political Economy of Clean Energy Transitions.
