The chapters of Part Two then provide descriptions of each of the major disciplines of kinesiology. Here students are introduced to the foundational sciences comprising each discipline. This part serves as a lead up to Part Three of the text which focuses on the professions centering on the practice of movement, physical activity, sport and exercise. Chapter 24 wraps up the text with a discussion of where kinesiology might be headed in the not too distant future. The text serves academic courses designed to introduce students of kinesiology, exercise science, sport studies, physical education, or whatever moniker is in current vogue in colleges and universities.
