P. Jaisridhar,author of the book Communication Technologies in Agriculture is an Assistant Professor in Agricultural Extension currently serving Department of Social Sciences, Horticultural College & Research Institute for Women, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) Trichy with his teaching, research and extension. He joined TNAU in 2014 at Centre of Excellence in Millets and served there as Social Scientist for three and a half years. His PhD from National Dairy Research Institute was sponsored by University Grants Commission. He was widely recognized and appreciated by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research for his outstanding Doctoral research work in the field of Social Science and Management. He has involved in international collaborative research projects like Asian Development Bank Project on 'More Crops from Less Water' with International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Colombo, Sri Lanka, and 'Analysing Tamil Nadu’s Capacity to Proactively Respond to Impeding Climate Change Challenges in Agriculture' with International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), Washington DC, USA. He had also worked as Project Scientist in Initiation for Nutritional Security through Intensive Millet Promotion (INSIMP) under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY). His research interest and current focus is on Education in Virtual Mode for Optimal Learning and Voluntary Extension (EVOLVE). He was a developer, designer and content writer for 11 self-learning modules for e-PG Pathshala - an National Mission on Information & Communication Technology (NMICT) initiative of University Grants Commission under Ministry of Human Resource Development for the paper 'Communication Technologies in Extension Education'. He was recognised by DK International Research Foundation for his national contribution and was awarded Best Young Faculty in 2018 and was also appointed as member of editorial board for 10 international journals. He has more than 40 publications which includes 4 books in reputed international publications, 11 self-learning modules published in the website of e-PG Pathshala, 9 international and 17 national research article in reputed journals with high impact factor. M. Surudhi is a Post Graduate in Agricultural Extension and an Assistant Professor in a Private Agriculture College. She is an experienced and motivated extension professional with exceptional knowledge on communication and ICT. She had involved in farmer-ICT linkage and networking activities and her contribution to this book adds yet another milestone to her career. She has published more than 10 research articles in reputed journal and 5 books to her name.
