Although this book is not directly related to primatology, it is pertinent to how we work with communities and individuals at our study sites and many chapters successfully drew my attention to issues that we are not always trained to recognise in the field. These chapters may increase awareness of power relations, and our own cultural biases whilst appreciating IK which can only be a positive development in conservation practice.
