The field of Fodder Production and Principles of Animal Nutrition has moved forward at an accelerated pace year by year. The present book is a result of author long and rich experience in the field whereby which the information documented has been preserved in a simple, illustrative and lucid manner, keeping in the mind the level of the readers.
Less important information has been eliminated, while the general framework, character and flavour of the literature have been preserved. The text represents the fodder production and principles of animal nutrition in an updated manner with theory and practical bifurcated.
Raman Rao was awarded with the “Sir Stapledon’s Commonwealth Fellowship” of England to carryout Post – Doctoral research at Dairy and Swine Research and Development Centre, Lennoxville (Qu?bec), Canada. He visited Boston (U.S.); Z?rich, Interlaken, Jungfraujoch, Luzerne [Switzerland]; Singen (Hohentwiel, Germany); Bon Accueil, Port Louis (Mauritius); Budapest (Hungary); Bangkok (Thailand) and observed some cow barns, as being a patron – member of “International Society for Krishna Consciousness”. He was recipient of a project from Indian Council of Agricultural Research, as Principal Investigator on “Bypassing dietary fats from biohydrogenation for improving product quality in ruminants”. He guided and co – guided Post – Graduate students as well as taught for over three decades. He was a member of “Academic Council” of G.B.Pant University, which is known as Herbinger of Green Revolution.
