Das FRAME-Gebäude wurde als Zentrum für Kommunikation und Medien und Herzstück eines zukünftigen Brüsseler Medienparks angelegt. Der vorliegende Band dokumentiert anhand von Fotos von Romain Cavallin und Konstruktionszeichnungen den Bauprozess von 2022 bis 2025. Jedes Kapitel widmet sich einer spezifischen Konstruktionsphase und unterstreicht die Anpassungsfähigkeit dieser Architektur. Nikolaus Hirsch, Künstlerischer Leiter des CIVA Brussels und Mitbegründer von e-flux Architecture: „BAUKUNST und ihr Projekt FRAME erweitern die Grenzen dessen, was wir unter Architektur verstehen, bis zu einem Punkt, wo die Architektur selbst aufgelöst wird.“

The FRAME building was conceived as a centre of communication and media at the core of the future Brussels MediaPark district. The publication retraces the project’s construction chronologically, from 2022 to 2025, featuring a selection of photographs by Romain Cavallin and a series of construction drawings. Each chapter focuses on a specific constructive layer, highlighting the project’s adaptable nature. Nikolaus Hirsch, artistic director of CIVA Brussels and co-founder of e-flux Architecture: ”BAUKUNST and their project FRAME push the boundary of what you could define as architecture, up to a point where you dissolve architecture itself.”
