Dr. Debalina Ghosh is an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical Sciences at IIT Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She earned her MS and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University, New York, USA. Her research interests focus on electromagnetic waves and their interaction with the human body, as well as remote sensing for healthcare and personnel monitoring. This involves the application of various signal processing, statistical processing methods, and machine learning tools for classification. Over the past 15 years, she has worked in both India and the USA, specializing in electromagnetic waves, non-destructive testing, antenna design, radar systems, and radio-frequency identification and detection. Dr. Ghosh is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Fellow of the Institute of Electronics and Telecom Engineers (IETE) in India, and a Life Member of the Systems Society of India. Dr. Prasant Kumar Sahu is currently a Professor in the School of Electrical Sciences at IIT Bhubaneswar. He completed his M. Tech and PhD in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering at IIT Kharagpur. Additionally, he worked as a visiting researcher at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Italy, focusing on distributed fiber sensor design. Before joining IIT Bhubaneswar, he served as a faculty member in the ECE department at NIT Rourkela. Dr. Sahu is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Fellow of IETE, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (IE), a Senior Member of OSA, and a Life Member of the Systems Society of India. His research interests include the design and development of intelligent sensors, distributed fiber-optic sensors, advanced modulation formats and techniques, long-haul communication system design, signal processing, speech processing, optical instrumentation, non-destructive testing, implementation schemes, and environmental monitoring.
