Smart Wearable IoT: Principles and Implementation of Development Modules with Wireless Biomedical SoC focuses on the development of intelligent wearable technology integrated with the Internet and various platforms. The book provides detailed guidance on building a user-friendly development platform that features intelligent wearable systems, including bio-signal SoCs/modules, user-friendly websites/apps, and artificial intelligence (AI) systems on edge/cloud. By exploring specific case studies, such as the ECG-based fatigue analysis system, readers will gain fundamental knowledge in biosignal acquisition and processing.

This hands-on approach enables users to understand the integration of digital signal processing and artificial intelligence in analyzing physiological data, ultimately enhancing their skills in developing innovative wearable solutions.

Shuenn-Yuh Lee is currently a Distinguished Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan. He served as the Technical Program Chair (TPC) of the 2014/2015 International Symposium on Bioelectronics & Bioinformatics (ISBB), and the 2015 Taiwan and Japan Conference on Circuits and Systems (TJCAS). He served as General Co-chair of the 2022 IEEE Biomedical Circuits and Systems Conference (BioCAS) and the 2024 IEEE Asia Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems, and Organization Chair of the 2022 IEEE Asia Solid-State Circuits Conference (ASSCC). From 2013 to 2016, he serves as the Chairman of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society Tainan Chapter. From 2016 to 2017, he serves as the Vice Chairman of the IEEE Tainan Section. From 2016 to 2023, he serves as the Associate Editor of IEEE Transaction on Biomedical Circuits and Systems. His present research activities involve the design of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits, biomedical circuits and systems, artificial intelligence integrated circuits, low-power, and low-voltage analog circuits, and RF front-end integrated circuits for wireless communications. Dr. Lee now is a member of the Circuits and Systems (CAS) Society, Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS), and Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) of IEEE. He is also a member of IEICE. Wei-En Lee received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering and M.S. degree in electronics engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2018 and 2022, respectively. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering under the joint guidance of Professors Li and Sathe at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, United States. His research interests include analog-front-end IC design and system design of neuro-interface circuits.
