Recycling and Reuse of Composite Materials presents the latest developments in this important research field. The book begins with a brief introductory section explaining the fundamentals of composite recycling including sorting and separation techniques for waste composites. Thermal, mechanical and chemical recycling processes are then discussed in detail as well as information on the additives used in recycled composites. The middle section of the book then discusses the various types of recycled composites that are currently commercially available and their related technology. These include thermoplastic, thermoset-matrix waste, metal-waste and rubber-polymer based composites. The utilization of lignocellulosic waste is also discussed in detail.

The chapters address the challenges and solutions in recycling these complex structures for a board range of different applications. With its focus on idea generation and informed decision-making, the book will serve as a valuable reference resource for individuals engaged in research, design, and engineering across both public and private sectors, fostering a vision for sustainable product development.
