Green Hydrogen Generation from Biomass begins with an introduction to green hydrogen and its generation methods and gradually explores complete methods for using biomass to produce sustainable hydrogen. It discusses microbial pathways and advanced technologies, such as dark fermentation and photofermentation, to produce hydrogen. This book reviews the latest scientific achievements in the field of microbial engineering for enhanced biohydrogen generation. In addition, the environmental impacts and a life cycle assessment of this clean fuel are also discussed. In the final chapters, methods for biohydrogen storage and distribution, its use in transportation, and comparison with common hydrogen generation technologies are examined to provide the reader with a comprehensive understanding of the subject. The final chapters include a review of costs, techno-economic assessment, government regulations, and innovative applications of artificial intelligence in biohydrogen generation.

Prof. Yasser Vasseghian currently works at the Department of Chemistry, Soongsil University of South Korea. He is also a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. His current field of research involves novel eco-friendly nanomaterials, water treatment, biomass, and biofuels. Dr. Hesam Kamyab is a senior researcher at the Process Systems Engineering Centre (PROSPECT), Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering, at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Dr. Kamyab has published numerous papers in esteemed journals and remains actively involved as a reviewer and editorial board member.
