Phytotoxicity of Organic Pollutants: Impacts and Management offers new insights into understanding the mechanisms of plant response to organic pollutants and their impact on plant developmental biology and stress tolerance. The book provides coverage on the phytotoxicity and the deleterious effects of various organic pollutants on the mechanisms of plant growth, development, and responses to stress. It also considers environmental and plant-based remediation strategies to mitigate the impact phytotoxicity of organic pollutants and examines the broader potential implications of their impact on food safety and environmental sustainability. Phytotoxicity of Organic Pollutants is an interdisciplinary resource for scientists, academics, graduate students, and industry professionals interested in the study and remediation of the phytotoxicity of contaminants.

Dr. Golam Jalal Ahammed is an Associate Professor at the Department of Horticulture, College of Horticulture and Plant Protection, Henan University of Science and Technology, Luoyang, China His major research interests include plant stress physiology, phytohormones, climate change effect on plants, and environmental pollution.  Dr. Ahammed was awarded two research grants for International Young Scientists by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He was also a recipient of several grants from China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. Currently, Dr. Ahammed is actively involved in unraveling the role of melatonin in plant stress response and is a Senior Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports (Springer Nature), and an Associate Editor of AoB Plants (Oxford Academics), and Journal of Plant Growth Regulation (Springer). Karina S. B. Miglioranza, PhD, is a Professor at the Institute of Marine and Coastal Research (IIMyC) and Senior Researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) at Mar del Plata University in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Her main research interests include environmental pollution, the dynamics of contaminants in the ecosystems, phytotoxicity of organic and inorganic pollutants, phytorremediation, biomarkers, and the effects of climate change on plants. She is currently Vice President of the Society of Toxicology and Environmental Chemistry (SETAC), Argentine Chapter and is a representative on the Board of Setac Latina. She is an Associate Editor on the Journal of Hazardous Materials and a Guest editor for Science of the Total Environment which are both published by Elsevier. She also serve on the editorial boards of a number of international journals on environmental toxicology and environmental science.
