Dr Shkir is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics, King Khalid University, Saudi Arabia. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Physics from M.J.P. Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), India, and his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Jamia Millia Islamia, India. Dr Shkir is the recipient of the Excellence award “Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Award for Excellence in Scientific Research 2020 for his work on the project “Structure-based modulation of SARS-CoV2 Nucleocapsid protein-protein interaction: Towards drug designing against COVID-19 (COVID-19 RC#09). His scientific interests focus on nonlinear optics, nanotechnology and nanostructured thin film fabrications for optoelectronic device applications which combines experimental and theoretical techniques. He is also interested on the fabrication of new systems and devices based on nanomaterials and nanostructured thin films for future applications. He is currently working on Nano-synthesis and nanostructured thin films development of different kind of materials for biomedical, optoelectronic, solar cells, energy, photodetectors and radiation detection applications. Dr. Kamlesh V. Chandekar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College, India. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur for Investigation of structural, elastic and magnetic properties of cobalt ferrite nanostructures. He also received M. Tech. in Nanotechnology from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra and M. Sc. in Physics & Electronics from Rashtrashant Tukadoji Maharaj (R.T.M.) Nagpur University, Nagpur. His current research interests include experimental condensed matter physics, and nanotechnology, with a focus on the nanotechnology and fabrication of nanostructured thin film for device applications which combines experimental and theoretical condensed matter physics.
